Here are some of my top resources and favorite books, with a short explanation for each. All of these provide excellent evidence-based information that will help you achieve the body and life that you desire.

TRAINING

Body by Science. A very interesting take on high-intensity training (HIT). For those looking for a very time-efficient system of training this is a must-read. Plenty of science, physiology, and research studies included.

Strong Curves. Bret Contreras constantly puts out excellent articles and YouTube videos. This book is directed towards females but includes one of the most comprehensive exercise libraries I have seen, with many innovative and bodyweight exercises for those with minimal equipment.

The Body Fat Breakthrough. Another HIT-based program with a focus on fat loss and minimal gym time. Ellington Darden includes some very interesting research and drops various “Fat Bombs” throughout the book that you probably have not considered (ice baths after workouts anyone?).

Strength Training for Fat Loss. If you are already have a decent strength-training base metabolic resistance training may be something to experiment with to shed that last bit of fat.

NUTRITION

Precision Nutrition. One of the best nutrition resources out there. Check it out. Their certification program has helped me coach nutrition with clients more effectively.

OTHER

The Power of Less. This short book has helped me get more done with less time. Great for anyone that wants to waste less time and reach their goals faster.

Switch. The Heath brothers show you how to change things when change is hard whether it be with your business, career, or health and fitness.

The 50th Law. One of the most important books I have read. Fifty shows you how to be successful in work and life by fearing nothing.

The Power of Habit. When it comes to improving health, fitness, and making dietary and lifestyle changes, habits are everything.

Relentless. Tim Grover, the trainer of NBA superstars Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, and Michael Jordan, shows you how the best get better and how you can too. Read this and learn how to achieve whatever it is that you desire.
